TORONTO, Nov. 3 - It's coming: the inevitable rush of cooking, shopping and holiday decorating, followed by endless hours of snow shoveling and salting. What's also on its way is the stress, headaches and backaches Canadians get as a result of these annual pastimes.
According to a recent survey of Canadians 25+ conducted by Vision Critical on behalf of the makers of TYLENOL®, looking for parking spots during the busy holiday season is the most stressful seasonal activity (35 per cent), followed by managing finances/budgets (25 per cent) and holiday shopping (22 per cent). Along with stress, aches and pains are also associated with the holidays. One-in-four Canadians who budget their finances during the holidays experience headaches, while backaches (53 per cent) are a common occurrence among those who shovel snow as part of seasonal winter maintenance.
As stressful on the mind and body as it may be, holiday and winter chaos can be curbed. Barry H. Samuel, founder of Insideout Health & Life Institute, is an industry leader in helping Canadians achieve wellness and balance in their lives through life coaching, personal training and more.
Barry will be available during the week of November 8th and 15th to discuss the importance of finding balance to enjoy a productive, relaxing holiday season, including:
