Toronto, July, 9 -TNW- This may be the closing weekend of the Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival, but don't worry, there are still tons of wonderful things to do! Come early to the Fringe Club's newly instituted Thank You Hour, for 4$ beer, wine and mixed drinks from 6-7pm, and stay to see one of the Patron's Pick Performances, or the staged reading of the winner of the 24 Hour Play Contest.

Patron's Pick Performances are one more chance to see the shows everyone's been talking about. On July 11th, each venue has an encore performance of the venues' most attended shows. This year's performances are:

The 24 Hour Play Writing Contest combines 60 playwrights with three items to include and 24 hours to write the best play ever put together in a day (or at least the best play in this year's contest). This year's winner, Jonathan Kline, will perform The Tempest and the Birch Tree on Sunday evening at 9:30pm in the Solo Room.

10-11pm - McAuslan Tent / LATE NIGHT AT THE CLUB: Uncalled For. Nobody called for them, but everyone wants to see them. Montreal's least called for comedians come back to TO for one night only.

SUNDAY JULY 11 - FREE ADMISSION
2-5pm - McAuslan Tent / WORLD CUP FINALS (Fringe style): catch the most watched sports event on Earth on our MASSIVE 18" bunny-ear-satellite-full- colour Television set.

Now in its 22nd year, the Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival is the city's largest theatre festival, with over 70,000 attendees per year. From June 30 - July 11, THE FRINGE will host over 150 plays, at 27 venues, with 1,200 artists.
